Cebu Pacific Dancing Flight Attendants

I was once accused of not being Pinoy for the simple reason
that I can't sing nor dance!!!

Sadly, the proof is piling up against me --- we're the nation
that brought to the world the Cebu Dancing Inmates, Charice
Pempengco and now, the Cebu Pacific Airlines Dancing Flight
Attendants. LOL

Love it or hate it, the Marketing Execs of Cebu Pacific sure
got this one right!

Blogger Statistics is now available

“You cannot manage what you cannot measure.
Identify the areas in which improvement is essential
to your success and find a way to track your progress.”
- Dr. John Maxwell

I just discovered that Blogger Statistics is now available for use.
This is great! Blogger users now have the convenience of checking
out their statistics from within Blogger. Just use Blogger in Draft
and you can avail of this function.

Why are statistics important? Basically, you will want to know if
people are visiting your blog or not. Yes, I said WILL. When I first
started out, I was content with just blogging. But as the months /
years progressed, I had to ask myself, "Are people ACTUALLY
READING my blog?"

You could say this is a valid question for any "passion blogger".
But this is a vital question for any problogger. And the time you
start asking yourself this is the time you'll start looking for a
way to measure the blog's statistics (also called metrics). As they
say, "The numbers don't lie."

Unfamiliar with Blogger in Draft? Simply type the words "draft" over
the "www" portion of the Blogger URL. Your URL will now look like
this: http://draft.blogger.com ~~~ Congratulations, you are now using
the Blogger in Draft mode! You will notice that the Blogger logo is now
blue. Yes, it's that simple!

Here's a visual:

Step 1 - Use Blogger in Draft (http://draft.blogger.com)
Step 2 - In Dashboard, Click on Stats

Step 3 - View the stats

p.s. No need to rush this. Enjoy your blogging first. Do this when you've
decided on getting "major major" serious with your blogging. hahaha!

Promote Promote Promote (31DBBB #3)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ehnmark

Promote Promote Promote.

Promoting is something most people avoid like the plague. Why???
Reactions range from: "It makes me feel like a salesperson" to "Im shy"
to "Im not ready" to "Can I just pass on this?"

Like it or not, this is part of surviving and thriving in the online world.
Don't worry, just like any other skill - practice makes perfect.

If you really must, you can at least use Day#3 - 31DBBB Challenge as an
excuse.

3 Things To Do with Your Blog Today (31DBBB#2)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidreber

Today's challenge is all about making lists. Great! I love lists! I already
have a few in All Simple Living. But none yet for this blog?!?

Let me start of with a list that can help you jumpstart your blogging.
Something simple that you can do TODAY.

3 Things To Do with Your Blog Today

1. Make a new post
I know this sounds "duh". But you'd be surprised at how many "stale"
blogs are out there. I should know, Im sometimes guilty of going on
for days without a new post! Basically, you need to post something
new so people have a reason to go back to your blog.

Did I say "reason"? Yes you read that right, "REASON". People have
lives! It would help if your posts provided some value to your readers.
Something that would inspire, educate, motivate, provide laughter,
provide comic relief, etc. Otherwise, there are a million other blogs out
there for them to visit.

2. Place a picture in your post
Pictures help "whet the appetite" of readers. It's not really a must for
everyone. There are many successful blogs out there that do not
employ the use of pictures. Personally, I think pictures are an effective
way of enhancing peoples' reading experience.

The next question usually is… Where to get the pictures? Jomar has
a good how to on the wheres, whys and hows of putting pictures in
your posts. You can click here.

3. Promote your post
If you want people to read your blog, you have to do this! How else
will people know you exist?

It doesn't have to be complicated. You can do the serious promoting
later on; when you're ready. For now, a friendly reminder in your email,
Facebook page, forum visit, etc. that you blog is all that is needed.

I hope you guys enjoyed going through my 3 Things To Do with Your
Blog Today. Send me a comment. I'd love to hear how this list has
helped you.

31 Days to a Better Blog Challenge (31DBBB)

I've been a blogger since the last quarter of 2008. Sadly, it has been an
on again, off again love affair. Like most people, I have one too many
things happening in my life--- work, errands, entrepreneurial endeavors,
and recently, solo parenting (hubby is currently overseas). Yes, now is not
exactly the best time to be taking on a new project.

But... I have told myself for the NTH time, "You've got to give this a go!"
What makes this time different? Hmmm, Nothing!

Soooo, wish me luck as I start my 31 Days to a Better Blog Challenge
(courtesy of Problogger). You are most welcome to join us. Just click
here.

Happy Blogging!

Where to begin

http://www.trafficvoodoo.com

There is a lot of information out there. So much that it can make your head
spin.

I do online searches, read forums and blogs, go through links, watch
uploaded videos, and attend live and online seminars. I've come across
different techniques and styles. Some of the information are free while
others require a learning investment. Regardless, just keep what's useful
and throw the rest away.

I'm also a member of Jomar Hilario's Online Internet Marketing
Workshop Club
. I joined because I found Jomar's teaching style easy
to digest. And, since it's a club, it's also a great place to meet and learn
from other like minded individuals.

Sooo... Look around, see which method and/or mentor appeals to you,
then start from there.

How does one earn online?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/brettlider

That is a great question!

I've met people who've done it. The challenge is for you and I
to do the same.

This blog is about my online journey. Feel free to look around,
comment and share your knowledge.
